My mission is to help you make your body last as long as you do. When I teach healthy aging classes, this statement always gets a laugh. It also fans the flames of hope. But I’m leading you astray here. My mission is so much bigger than just body health. It’s about living a wellness lifestyle and designing a life that makes you feel healthy and happy.

These kinds of daily choices make up your lifestyle and determine whether it’s a wellness or a worseness lifestyle. Sometimes making these choices isn’t easy.

You simply move your body in pleasurable ways so that it hardly feels like exercise. I call this kind of movement the Earth Gym, where your life becomes your fitness program. I show you the difference between embracing a lifestyle that incorporates physical activity and just getting by without it. You’ll be amazed.

Everyone has bad habits. If you have more than most, don’t fret. There are wellness solutions for you, too. Bad habits are only a signal that the foundation for healthy living is damaged or incomplete. Together we rebuild your wellness foundation. You can do it alone, but you don’t have to.
You Can Find the Solution for Busy-ness
There is a solution to being too busy. In fact, there are several. Who isn’t bizzy? The difference between busy-stressed and busy-productive is once again a wellness foundation issue. When you have a good foundation, you sustain occasionally busy streaks. You plan for them or avoid them. When you understand the wellness model I use, you see that good self-care comes first, not last. Life is better when self-care comes first. Much better.

You can get organized for healthy living. If clutter is a challenge for you, you can clear it away and actually have more time for wellness. Clutter clouds your thinking. When the clutter is removed and a wellness foundation is put in place, relief sets in. Peace and contentment finally take hold, and it gets easier (and more enjoyable) to make wellness-oriented choices.

What to Expect While You’re Constructing Your Wellness Lifestyle
But don’t get me wrong. It’s not all roses:
- There’s no where to get. It may take some time for you to recognize that your wellness journey is exactly where you are supposed to be. There’s no final goal or score. It’s a process not an end point. There’s no one to beat. In this competitive world, at first you may feel like an over achiever or that you’re settling as you begin to acknowledge that not everything in life is a contact sport. This is OK and perfectly normal.
- If you have a busy lifestyle, you may find yourself going through periods of withdrawal from your usual daily activities. You may feel unwanted, unneeded, off-track and off-purpose. I help you see what you’re really avoiding and how to manage and integrate your challenges into your daily, healthy lifestyle.
- Your family and friends may want the old you back and initially may say and do things that are not very supportive. In fact YOU may want the old you back. Resistance is joined at the hip with change. They come as a pair. I help you develop coping strategies when these things occur so you are not blind-sided and regress.
- As you start to rid yourself of clutter and packrat tendencies, I show you the healthy way to grieve the items you are releasing so you can liberate yourself without fear.
- Sometimes things get a bit worse before they get better - especially in chronic conditions. I’m no doctor but, when your body is used to processing physical challenges in one way, it’s only natural to be a bit jolted when you begin to teach it new methods.
